Our Thought

Ujinotsuyu Seicha is a group company of Fukujuen, which was established in Kyoto over 230 years ago and one of the oldest and largest Japanese tea manufacturers. Ujinotsuyu Seicha exports Japanese tea to more than 50 countries for over 40 years from Kyoto. Our tea is loved by people around the world.

‘Uji’ in Ujinotsuyu Seicha comes from the birthplace of Japanese tea. Uji region(宇治) located in Southern Kyoto is the most famous tea plantation area, and Uji region's weather is suitable for high-quality Japanese tea.

‘Tsuyu’(露) in Ujinotsuyu Seicha means Shizuku(雫) in Japanese, dew in English. We put two thought in ‘Tsuyu’.

One is for harvesting fine Japanese tea. Good tea cannot be grown without moisture environment, in other words, tsuyu is necessary for growing tea.

Another is that we are committed to produce reliable and delicious tea even a last drop.

A ‘tsuyu’ that has two meanings becomes a stream and ourselves, we spread fine Japanese tea to the world as a ‘tsuyu’.
